The Answer

Such promises sound splendid but why is it that you alone is never enough nor an option? For all I ever wanted was you. Just you.

The Question

What is it that you want from me?
I'd rearrange the stars at your request.
Revoke mountains and trees.
I would queen you for the city
I'd build in your name.
Provide for you
your every wish and longing.
Please allow me to do so,
for a love as great as our should be taken as such.
So please.
Allow me to do so.
All you need is ask.

THAT LOVE, WAS THE SOUND OF MY BREAKING HEART.

Did you hear that, Love?
That subtle ripping?
That deafenning clatter?
That hint of dripping?
Yet somehow,
you're not even sure if you heard it.
That love,
was the sound of my heart beat ceasing.
That dripp,
was the sound of all that we had slowly drainning from my viens.
That clatter
was what trust we had left.
Shattering,
like the illusion you somehow veiled me in.
That love,
was the sound of the very last ache that my heart will ever undergo
BECUASE OF YOU.

Firever Beautiful. Forever Frozen.

I envy you.
your beauty ever lasting.
Your face a painful masking.
Even your gracefully poised posture
stands rigid on your alter.
I pity you.

The Crumbled

Walk with me
amongst the ashes
of fallen dreams.
Pick their bones clean
and salvage
what you may.
Then gather your sorrows
and move on.

i can only say such things to you when your sleeping

I wish I knew what to say to cease your silent tears.
Your whimpers carry down to me as though you were standing by my ear.
I wish I could wrap you in the folds of a secure little bundle
and hide you beneath my skin,
where the commotion of the world could not find you.
where you could hide safely within.
I wish I could plant a flower for every soundless tear you've shed
so that for every hidden drop that's fallen
something lovely could rise from it's ashes instead.

Have You Seen Him?

Two boys,
one far younger than the other,
went swimming down by the lake.
The eldest turned,
just for a moment,
and now must for ever
regret
His
mistake.
